Burr and Burton here comes Cait!

How many dads do you know make their daughters jewelry?? Brad thought it would be nice to make Caitlyn something to wear matching her graduation dress that I photographed Caitlyn in for her invitations. Cait borrowed a necklace from me for the shoot and Brad noticed and thought it would be a perfect gift.

This is just an hour prior to graduation. Cait opening her jewelry.

Just a little help from dad!

Cait is one lucky girl, not only did she get a sixth grade graduation, she switched schools and got an eigth grade graduation as well.

Cait and Johanna making the procession walk to the stage!!

Cait sang in the eigth grade chorus, they sang the National Anthem and God Bless America

The Moment!!!! The Diploma!!! BBA here she comes!!

MEMS class 2009

Do you think Cait is cognasant of where the camera is?

What can I say must take after the old man! Ex ellence in Spanish and Science and 2 years of high top grades in all core studies.

Cait opens her gift. A week long field hockey camp for her and a friend here in Rutland. My hope was for her to meet and make friends with girls here in Rutland.

Cait spent some time with a hair stylist. Her Do looked great. Don't you think?

What can I say, my little girl has completed grade school and is entering high school. She has had a fantastic elemetary career, always at the top of her class, absorbing scholastic lessons, and cramming that head of hers full on knowledge.
I am very proud of her accomplishments and wish her well in high school.

Groton Count down 2009

8th Grade Grad Girl!

8th grade seems like eons ago. Well only 29 years, but it still feels the same. Cait has made it through her elementary schooling. Sure she is feeling the same as all of us did when we graduated 8th grade....time for high school!!
Yeah, right! As you can see the upper display is Caits gradutaion anouncment and the lower is the add we placed in her yearbook, both were designed by Donna. The verse is mine.
Congratulations to you Caitlyn. We all knew you would make. Not sure how she went from that baby picture to what she is now. All grown up and ready to take on the world.

Another trip!!

Yet another airplane ride for me this year! It made my 14 hotel since January. NUTS! But boy was this trip worth it!! I went to the headquarters for Professional Photographers of America (PPA). They hosted a meeting for Affiliate directors. Being that PPANE does not have one at this time, I got to go on default.

I can not tell you how many times in the last I don't know how many years I have wrote this address. It was WEIRD to actually be there.

This women has been working at PPA for as long as I have been a member. Marissa is that go to person at PPA that you know if she can't help you she will find someone that can!

This is David Trust the CEO of PPA. Ever since my first council meeting, David mesmerized me. He just has a way to get his point across in a back door kind of way. When I was programs chair for PPANE I asked David to be a speaker. He thought I was NUTS and now he is out there doing all sorts of leadership training for all of the affiliates. What I have learned from David has been invaluable to me as president. I can not thank PPA or David enough!
