More training for Brad..

Once again I made my way south to Anniston, Alabama to the FEMA Center for Domestic Preparedness. This time I attended the Emergency Hazardous Materials Response to CBRNE Incident. 5 days in level A, B, C chemical suits in 80+ degree weather, learning decontamination and leak response. In full gear we leaned to patch and stop leaking cylinders, tankers and rail cars. I have officially earned my Federal Hazmat Tech certification.

PPANE 2011

I was informed after the April judging my image was the highest scoring print from New England. This meant that it would be on the cover of the fall convention book. It also meant there was a chance I would receive awards at the fall banquet. Sure enough I received Master Court of Honor, highest scoring print and I was just notified that this image is one of the top TEN portraits for Professional Photographers of America. I will find out in January what place I receive. Certainly the most acclaimed image I have been awarded and one close to my heart being it is of Nancy's parents.

Look at ME with my awards!! Great night! Kind of cool that my lab is the sponsor of the highest scoring image!

If the night wasn't fun enough. Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Make Over, and all of the cast and crew crashed our party! Courtney and I happen to catch him before and had our photograph taken with him!!
