While Donna traveled the country, I set out on my own plans to remodel the kitchen. Above you can see the BEFORE. A small U shape, with an electric range with cooktop in the closest leg just behind the post ( i hate electric stoves) You can see the gas range to the right waiting for its new home.
I ripped out the cabinets and the range and built a new cabinet front and placed the new range at the end of the now L kitchen. I designed an island at bar height with several bases' and one upper. Can see the island along the left edge of the photo. Started ripping out the old counter top for replacement
So you can see the final results. Much bigger, better flow and easy for two to cook together. Some special touches are my foot rests along the island and the new side pantry and microwave with cook book shelf
